Staff Roles
Below is an overview of each staff role within OpalValley and the permissions associated with each. Understanding these roles will help you know your responsibilities and what actions you are authorized to perform.
Roles Overview
- Helper: Assists players, answers questions, and supports the team by monitoring chat and reporting issues.
- Moderator: Handles chat moderation, enforces rules, mutes/kicks players, and manages minor disciplinary actions.
- Admin: Oversees the server, manages roles and permissions, handles bans/unbans, and maintains server settings.
- Owner: Full control over the server, including all permissions, configurations, and decision-making authority.
Permissions by Role
- Helper: View chat logs, report issues, assist players, and support moderation efforts.
- Moderator: All Helper permissions plus mute, kick, warn players, view moderation logs, /co inspect, tempban/unban, spy/vanish.
- Admin: All Moderator permissions plus PermaBan/unban, PermaIPban/unban.
- Owner: All permissions including critical server configurations, role management, and full access.
